Tomlinson told shareholders the credit-card processor fends off
100,000 hacking attempts each week. TSYS' profits are derived from
processing electronic payments for major banks and credit-card issuers.
The company earned nearly $1.2 billion in revenue in 2004, ending the year with 370 million consumer accounts and on track to reach 425 million accounts by the end of 2005.
