Co-founded by Craig Burton in 1989, The Burton Group (TBG) began the study the concept of metadirectory in earnest. At “Prognosys,” The Burton Group’s 1996 Conference on Network Computing, Craig presented the criteria for measuring whether a technology meets the metadirectory requirements set forth by The Burton Group.
